Mothers Must Have Time
Big sister may be too busy with homework,
Or on the phone chatting about events of the day,
But mothers must have time to tend and make "all better"
The small knee hurt at play.
Big brother may be too busy playing basketball,
Or messing with the cars.
But, mother must have time to check homework
And explain the stars.
Dad may be too busy fishing, golfing,
Paying the bills or mowing.
But Mom must have time to listen,
And explain the pains of growing.
No matter the work to do,
No matter what the chore,
No matter how many hours in a day,
Mothers must have more.
